Our commitment to care through the Coronavirus pandemic

Through a pandemic, the NOLA Doc team stands behind our practice mission. Our job of keeping patients at home is critical to the health of individuals and the community at large. As house call clinicians, we strive to keep our patients safe, in their homes and out of the Emergency Department unless they absolutely belong there.

For the safety of everyone as well as the preservation of resources, each visit begins with a telephone consultation with one of our physicians. Our doctors take the time to gather a detailed history and are adept at sorting through the wide array of symptoms that may be related directly or indirectly to the latest Coronavirus. At the end of the consultation, a plan will be in place and follow up will be arranged. Our board certified physicians are very familiar with telemedicine and are able to manage most issues over the phone. When appropriate, in-person visits may be arranged based on availability of our staff.

In addition to visits for acute needs, we are happy to provide recommendations on best practices to remaining healthy, both physically and emotionally, through the course of the current pandemic. We’re also arranging for same-day PCR COVID testing for Greater New Orleans as well as Coronavirus antibody testing nationwide.
